What do you do with the world’s fastest rugby player? Why you challenge him to a race of course....with your car.
“I have never raced a car before but let’s go,” Carlin Isles told BOOM during his visit to Sound United headquarters. Isles is currently the fastest player on the rugby field, running the 40-yard dash in less than 4.3 seconds. This speed places him in the upper echelon of athletes in the world and has earned him a spot in Men’s Health Magazine as the No.15th top fittest men on the planet.
The physical beast plays winger for USA 7’s rugby team. His fastest 100 meter time of 10.13 seconds would have qualified for at least the semifinals at the 2012 London Summer Olympics, according to CNN.
In addition to his passion for rugby, Isles is also passionate about music. “Music takes me into a whole new world where I can zone out.” Before and after practice you can find Isles in this other world listening to his jams, but ironically he doesn't like his music as fast as he is. Isles goes on to say, “I mostly listen to Bobby Valentino, August Alsina, Lloyd, and Beat King. I don’t really like my music as fast as I am (chuckles).”
BOOM uncovers more about Isles his taste in music, what he eats, and how he fell into playing rugby.
