BOOM, part of DEI Holdings (POLK, Definitive, Directed), is back to drop another new innovative product.  Named after its unique design and the way that both earbuds nestle together, The SPOONERS are an earbud that is functional and Ready For Anything™.
 
Frustrated with the rats’ nest that every other earbud on the market inevitably becomes, BOOM’s founder, Ryan Minarik set out with members of their Global Design Center to solve the eternal problem of headphone cord management. While working with college students and BOOM’s team of Action Sports Athletes: http://www.boommovement.com/movement/action-sports, we gained unique insights into this everyday problem that ultimately led to the unique industrial design of the SPOONERS.
 
The SPOONERS magnetic nesting design puts an end to that tangled mess in your pocket. Wrap the cord around the body of the ear buds and you are good to go anywhere. Simply flip the buds, snap them together and wrap. In addition to cord management, the SPOONERS also come standard with a silicone three-button iPod/iPhone control.
 
BOOM has created a headphone that is durable enough to withstand the extreme abuse that Team Riders Pierre-Luc Gagnon (PLG) and Kris Fox put their headphones through.  Pushing the limits every day, these athletes helped design a headphone that fit their lifestyle. Our athletes specified the preference of a bud form factor over an in-ear as critical so that they can hear their board or bike react to the terrain.  The SPOONERS also come with detachable sport tips that allow users to lock and secure the headphones in their ear while exercising for increased noise isolation. As part of our R4A (Ready For Anything) platform the SPOONERS are IPX level 4 water resistant, dust resistant, and shock tested to follow you anywhere. Dish it out, we can take it.
